Prompt/Summary: Written for the Summer 2008 bujold_fic ficathon to the prompt “Beguilement from Hod’s point of view.”
There's a lot of great stuff posting for the bujold_fic ficathon this week, btw, so if you are fond of any of Lois McMaster Bujold's 'verses, I highly recommend checking it out.
As for mine, that's two of the three I said I had to get done in order to let myself sign up for the exchange. The third is being beta'ed and has been Brit-picked, so I have gone ahead and signed up. Whee!
Now I need to get a chap of either Turbulence or TKWIA done (by a similar definition of "done") by the 22nd in order to sign up for Snupin Santa. Better still, both. Trying to focus on Turbulence first as a) it's been muuuuuch longer since I posted the one and only chapter of it, b) it'll be substantially shorter, and c) it's also Snupin, so it kind of makes sense as a prereq for letting myself sign up for Snupin Santa to get that one moving. However, I had one of those a-ha moments about the next chap of TKWIA yesterday. The kind that made me want to drop everything and just write (and, frustratingly, I was bored as hell at work, but never quite left alone enough to do just that). Also the kind that made me want to headdashboard (as I was driving at the time) and demand of my subconscious how I could be working on this thing for two years and not know this rather key bit of information until now. So, um, it might be that one.
