Running around in circles
On the one hand, it seems Wednesday just can't get here fast enough. On the other, it seems like I can't possibly be ready to go by then, as there's too much to do!
In the process of looking for a variety of things, I stumbled across some silver nailpolish. I seem to recall someone on my flist besides me was looking for it awhile back. elfwreck, maybe? Anyway, I found it at Walgreens, and the brand is "Sinful Colors Professional." They also had a better emerald green than the one I've been using. Sparkly rather than pearlescent. The silver is called "Out of This World" and the green is, for some unfathomable reason, called "San Francisco."
Torrid is lovely, but wtf is with the banded-bottom dresses? I found a couple that I'd like if they just had a more normal line to them instead of making me look like a giant bubble. And who wants her knees held together by the hem of her dress, anyway? Not comfy for walking, much less dancing. Silly designers.
I have spent far more time than I would have thought possible perusing the TSA website and trying to be certain wtf I am/am not allowed to pack and how.
Also trying to tie up some fic loose ends so that I can focus on SoG when I get back. Now that I've started into it, it's threatening to get big. I don't have time for that, so I really hope I can keep it contained. Still debating whether to bring the laptop on the trip. It's still shiny, so part of me is all "leave it home where it won't end up smashed or stolen!" And I doubt I'll have much time to use it, anyway. Another part of me is certain that if I don't have it with me, I will, at some point, desperately need something to be found only on its hard drive and/or will suffer painful withdrawals due to lack of internet access. Never mind that I'll be physically hanging out with several people from my flist. I didn't say it was a rational part of me.
Watched the first disc of Dr. Who S2 last night. I was annoyed when I saw there were only two eps on this disc, but the Xmas ep was longish, so I guess I can't whine too much. I did enjoy it, but I want Eccleston back. While the "Barty Crouch, Jr." thing wore off by the end of the Xmas ep, Tennant still doesn't feel like The Doctor to me. And was that Anthony Stewart Head's voice I heard in the previews at the end of "New Earth"? Or am I just so stuck in Giles mode that I'm hearing things?
See what I mean? Circles. Speaking of, time to go hit the Curves circuit so I get my 3rd visit in this week.
