Ooh, the other fun thing today
Actually, this took up most of my day: sewing. Wahoo! I've got my dress almost all cut (still have to come up with lace for the overlay pieces-if you click that link, follow the "view" link on that page, and see the upper left corner version of the dress, which is the one I'm doing in blue and purple), and learned to stay-stitch the curvy pieces, pinned the front three panels together, and sewed them.
I didn't break anything and only had to rip out a few stitches, and the seams look, if not perfect, at least reasonable. Whee! Dunno when it'll all get finished, as we're getting together kinda sporadically. Certainly in plenty of time for 12th night, which is when we have our Midieval Feast fundraiser, and hopefully in enough time that I can help with the herald costumes, which look substantially simpler and would give me more practice.
