Er, Zombies?
Apparently today is "blog about zombies day" or something. Can I just point to that fic rec from Monday and call it done? Well, I'm gonna anyway.
summer_of_giles fic is off being beta'd. Whee! Now starting to think about bujold_fic prompt, which I got last night. Looks like it shall be another Ivan/Byerly, which makes it very tempting to try and do the revisions on "Put It Back Together" and go with that, but that would be cheating. So, new and different Ivan/By. Also "crossovers with other SF/F shows/books/movies would be more than welcome."
The nice thing about Vorkosiverse crossovers is you can pretty much have a wormhole mishap dump someone out anywhere. Just because they think you either get where you're going or get atomized doesn't mean you can't end up in a parallel universe of some kind. Of course, Ivan and By are generally not out on jumpships, especially not together. But if one grabs a magical universe, as has been done fairly often, all it takes is a spell gone awry or a giant squid interfering with people's fates. Hmmmmmm ...
Ooh! Or I could set it post-"Put It Back Together" and that could give them a reason to be on a jumpship. Polishing PIBT first would be a good idea, though. Which, fixing the snark factor in that was one of the things that led to trying to write Snape in the first place, come to think of it. That's sounding like a good idea, actually, though I'm still pondering what 'verse to mix in. ::wanders off to check recipient's interests list::
Or I could just have Barrayaran zombies factor in somehow.
