I was hoping to find a link to the internet radio station that was there, as they took lots of pics and I didn't bring my camera this year. But anyway, it went well. Very well in fact. We had 73 guests, which was a little low but still good, and netted somewhere in the ballpark of $1K. The food was served smoothly, people got enough of everything, the minstrels showed and did great, and people were prepared with entertainments for when they petitioned for a "trip to Canterbury" (the bathroom) or to go "stoke the dragon" outside. We had poems, riddles, songs, it was great.
One of the little sideline things we do is have someone sell indulgences, forgiving the upcoming year's worth of sins. (Never mind that UU's in general really don't believe in sin. *g*) Normally we have someone dressed as a monk selling them. And we sell a few, but by no means all, and that's with several forays throughout the night. This year, we let a little girl dressed as a princess try. She sold out before the first course was served. Yeah, going with the cute little girl thing again next time, for sure!
There were definitely some screwups, but none that the public had to see, so that was good. I'm just very glad it's OVER! :-)
