"Stop!" Simon held up his hand, keeping Kaylee from leaving. It was now or never.
"What?" She cocked her head to the side, waiting.
"Marry me?" Simon forced the words out around the tightness of his throat.
"Why?" Kaylee was honestly curious.
Simon relaxed. He knew the answer to this one. "I love you."
"Took ya long enough!" She launched herself at him, kissing him soundly.
Simon's fears assaulted him, so he broke away long enough to ask, "Was that a yes?"
"YES!" Kaylee smacked him on the arm before continuing to kiss the daylights out of her new fiancée.
