...but first we need to go back to the very not excellent Thursday morning.
Thursday morning I walked up to my car, ready to go to work for a half day and jet off to Boston for the weekend and I notice that the napkins that were in my center console are nicely placed in a pile on my drivers seat. I get in the car, my stereo is still there. The 1/2 coffee that was in my cup holder was nicely placed on the center console near my emergency brake and my passenger side door was ajar.
Someone broke into my car, rifled through my napkins and took the change from my change cup, 1/2 a pack of cigarettes and all the burned CD's. They didn't take the "real" cd's from the visor, all they took was the cd's that I burned when I got back from Italy, the mixes I listened to in Italy and Cassie's lounge music cd. Nothing worth ANYTHING except to me. Thanks a freakin' lot. I guess I should be happy that they didn't steal my stereo or the whole car. And they didn't trash my car either. they could've ripped it up or thrown the coffee around but they didn't and for that I'm grateful. I just wish they hadn't taken those cds.
Very violating. Someone was IN my car.
So that sucked. Then I get into work that morning and there's an email that Stephanie, the girl I work closest with, was fired and her lines are being redistributed. Fuck. Now I'm going to get a ton of work back, and she was like the only cool chick in the office. Fantastic. I had a mini-break down.
Fortunately I had the half day and left at noon. I got home, cried to Steve, we packed our suitcase, printed out directions and left at like 1:30 pm. We got to the Radisson on Stuart Street and checked into our beautiful room on the top floor. (24 floors is f'n high!) We took a nap in the HUGE king size bed, woke up, showered and headed out to dinner at Vinalia on Arch Street. GORGEOUS. I won't tell you about the meal because you'll drool on your keyboard and ruin it and I can't afford to reimburse all of your companies.
Phantom of the Opera was amazing. Mark downstairs from us (Steve's cousin) let us borrow these theatre binoculars which were awesome. Gave you a chance to really see the show/actors up close for a part of the show. We had balcony seats but there were a ton of empty spaces so we moved down before the lights went out. Aerosmith's Joey Kramer was also at the show, we opted NOT to attack him.
It was the second time I have seen Phantom and it was as fantastic as the first time. And this time I could sing along in my head.
Afterwards we went to Teatro for drinks and to the hotel bar for more drinks. Lots of fun. The we went and cuddled in the huge huge huge bed and watched a movie.
Friday we went to the Museum of Science ALL day. We spent the whole day walking around. It was awesome.
Saturday we got back to Worcester early, it was gross out so we took a nap and watched movies ALL day. Ordered food in and spent the whole day on the couch. It was great.
:o) I SO don't want to be back at work today. How was everyone else's weekend?
