Birthday recap :o)

The weekend was great. Friday night was just sleeping mostly then Saturday Steve & I woke up early, went to the Wachusett Resevoir and while he fished, I threw out a blanket and sunbathed & read & watched the scenery (beautiful HUGE cranes flew by, it was awesome) Then we grabbed a sushi lunch deal & I headed to Providence for my cousins graduation party.

Cassie didn't get to the graduation party until later 'cause she had open house at the camp she's working at and EVERYONE at this graduation party (my aunt's side of the family) thought I was "the younger one". One woman walked up to me and asked "So, how was your first year away?" She caught me off guard...then I realized she thought I was Cassie....I was like, "Um, well, I've been away for nearly 6 years...but the first year was ok I guess..."

Then Cassie & I went to the mall, I got really cute pants at H & M (which I nicely LEFT at my house) and we tooled around for a little while..

Sunday was amazing. Woke up at 7:30, helped my mom set up the brunch..it was fantastic...eggs benedict, muffins, thick Italian bread french toast, fruit, it was just incredible..got a ton of cash and my family got me this awesome picnic basket that folds out to a table and filled it with Crate & Barrel wine glasses, juice glasses, plates (and a salt shaker for Steve), Grey Poupon and cute napkins..

Got back to Shrewsbury at around 2:30 and Steve made me open my presents. He got me a picnic basket and picnic blanket :o) (So now he has to return the basket...the one my mom & sister got me was MUCH cuter, but it was a good thought) Apparently multiple people this year thought a picnic basket was the perfect present. It was a great present...mom & Cassie did an awesome job..

Steve also got me a gift certificate to PacSun, a huge thick Assumption sweatshirt, an AC mug, an AC license plate holder and an AC sticker for my car.

FUNNY --> His mom & dad sent me $50 and a gift bag..I open the bag and there's a mesh bag w/ showery stuff in it..wicked cute, I think. I open the mesh bag and there's an envelope in it. The envelope says "Carol" (Steve's mom's name.) So I start laughing I was like, "Steve, I think your mom re-gifted!!" So we made a deal that he wouldn't embarass his mom by telling her if he could keep whatever was in the envelope. In the envelope is a Christmas card from his aunt to his mom and another $50. Good day for everyone.

We played tennis for a couple of hours (I don't suck that bad!!) and then went to Green Hill park for our picnic :o) We picked a spot right near 3 hippies on the water...The had bongos, a guitar and a xylophone and were doing like a drum circle kinda thing..it was perfect...So we had sandwiches and listened to them play and laid in the sun for a while...

Then we went home and Steve pulled out a bottle of champagne & my last birthday present which was "Love, Actually" which he swore he would never watch with me :o) So I got very drunk off of champagne and fell asleep directly after the movie. It was a really really good birthday :o)

Yeah!!!

Funny quote of the weekend:
At the graduation party my dad was talking about this guy he used to be friends with, Slippery Lou...

My sister leans over to me and goes "Slippery Lou? Do you know how he got that nickname? He fell off a toilet in England"

I'm still laughing about that 3 days later.

How was everyones weekend???
