Well boys and girls, I have to tell you how wonderful as jobless as I am, these past couple of days have been.
Monday went beautifully, as we had our wonderful musician friend over and we spent hours and hours either writing music, lyrics, or singing Morrissey/Smiths tunes at the top of our lungs.
Tuesday night we called said musician friend to set up times for him to come over so that we could do some basic recording on his portable station, and he surprised us by saying 'Well how about tonight?' So we spent late evening hours, and those following, and came up with this incredibly beautiful piece, that's haunting and layered and gives you the feeling that we intended for the song that we wrote.
Tomorrow evening, we'll receive a copy of said track, depending on how much he wants and is motivated to work on it tonight, but probably in it's most basic form. That way we can get our vocals down perfectly, and sometime next week, we'll probably be able to pound out the whole song.
We've decided to tentatively shoot for June, as a time to have eight or nine beautiful songs, so that my darling Erik can get his hands on it, and we can make some magic.
I'm incredibly excited, and I adore what we're doing.
Erik, it's strange, because even though you're on a much grander scale with this, we're sort of going through the same things. And piece by piece things come together.
I'm in love with what he's come up with, and he was just as giddy and thrilled at the vocals we came up with. There's so much peace in that.
We're still coming up with a name, because somehow my previous alias 'Fuschia Sometimes Falls' simply doesn't work for the beauty we're creating. Any names suggestions are more than welcome.
Love to all of you. Pray for my sanity in the days to come. It's hard not working, practically driving me mad.
I don't like Christmas at all, but I'm pretty spirited, and not for the holidays.
