Have you caught a commercial for Hockey Day in Canada (which is what I'm watching, btw)? The song, the folky one with the guy with the Scottish brogue, is Skating Rink by David Francey. He used to live in Ayer's Cliff (and beat out Bruce Cockburn for a Juno), and the song is about the rink on the fairgrounds. It's weird hearing it on TV all the time because it's actually not about hockey.
I know! A song about a skating rink that's not about hockey! And they picked it for Hockey Day in Canada!

In other news, I am home alone for a bit while Bill helps our friend Aaron move stuff from his basement into his new office - he's opening a storage place. Apparently, the profit margins are such that only oil and heroin compare.
My new goal in life is to never accumulate enough stuff to need a storage locker.
