I don't know why I was so adamant about writing this one... but here it is anyway.

She abhors playing the "damsel in distress." Especially when he plays the hero.
She glared fiercely from across the whimsical cell. John grinned back, ignoring her partial state of undress without so much as a nervous twitch.
He had played the hero already today; her chin's rising a few millimeters at his gaze was testament to that. Now that was out of his system, and it was time to play the charmer.
Only the gentleman in him kept him smirking at Elizabeth's face as she walked past, and not at the cartooned primate printed above the words "Monkey Business!" on her underwear.
