back in the b-lo...
ok ok ok...i know guys, i've been totally slacking on the live journal. well, i'm finally updating due to the requests of the jaymate and my favorite kristin martini. happy now guys? yeah, thats right.
so i've been back in good ol' hamburg for a month now...and its been a lot of fun. i miss ic though...and why not, you know? good people, good times. luckily, i've been keeping in touch with most the best that i can, and it sounds like everyone is doing well. i can't wait for next year though..its gonna be so amazing. even BETTER?! yeah baby.
so summer has been crazy...its really cool to know that you can come back from college and hang out with people that you weren't that close with in high school, but now be super cool and be good friends. we have some really fun times...sometimes wild and out of control, but we do it up pretty well. we drink...a lot. we really do. but we're good about it...and even when we're not, we at least get a good laugh out of it. you guys are a ton of fun and i am so glad that we're all friends. and we have two more months left! crazy crazy.
so what else have i been doing....working, a lot. i'm working at uncle joe's diner, a cute family restaurant where i've been hostessing but am starting to do serving there too. i like it there, and the money is definitely decent. the people are really friendly too. i can't wait to start serving so i can make good tips...oh my God i need the money so badly. its just that paychecks a little over $100 don't cut it anymore...and i need money...for books, for next year....anything to give me some lee way on avoiding working in the dining hall next year.
yeah right, like that'll happen. but i'll try.
i love my home girls by the way. you guys are the absolute best. and i'd like to mention that i like that i'm able to get along and have nice convos with people that i lost touch with in high school. its really nice that we've all grown a bit. but we have a blast...especially trips to walmart to eat fried chicken. and all our beer drinking. and cops marathons...we are so manly. i love it. i wouldn't change a thing.
i also like being able to just hang out and have a good time with certain people. thanks for that. :-) its going well.
am i boring? because i feel like this entry is boring, and i'm really sorry.
oh..prague? yeah, let's just reflect how figuring out all this shit for prague has been the biggest pain in the ass....between the dumbasses at sallie mae, ic's financial aid office, new paltz, and citibank...i'm ready to kill someone. like today, if i hadn't called new paltz and ic to check on the status of everything...my loan wouldn't be approved! AWESOME. i hate people...so f-ing lazy. really, if i CANCEL my old loan, don't you think you should put that into your system for the future so that a new one can be processed? geeeeeeez. anyway, it should work out. i've put so much damn money into this thing. i'm GOING either way damnit. i'm not celebrating yet though. i will though when this whole financial fiasco is dealt with and done....should be soon though...i hope. i can't wait though. its gonna be so so so amazing. YAY! :-) i'm beyond excited.
my birthday is in 10 days...a.k.a. june 17th. i will be 19. so therefore, i will be going to canada to get plastered. go me. i will also be accepting messages of love on that day. keep that in mind, thanks. its appreciated. i feel like my birthday is always so far away.
a few weeks ago i bought a really cool lamp for my dorm room with emma next year. its exactly like the one jess, katie, and meg had in there room. except not broken. lol.
i redid my room here at home...new beige rug, turquoise bedding and lime green walls. yeah its bright, but its totally kelly and i love it. its comfortable and not so..pink. not that i don't like pink, but it was time for a change. i enjoy.
emma comes to visit buffalo july 9th! YAY!
also...i'm SO psyched for the ben folds/guster/rufus wainwright concert in buffalo on july 3rd...and the free goo goo dolls concert on the 4th......anyone from ic going to these? let me know if you are. in addition...july 13th...dmb...woohoo!
um ok..i'm been thinking. kinetics people...are we getting tapes or dvds or SOMETHING from the wall?! because i really really really would like one...i just don't know whats going on with that!
i'm even boring myself. i'm so sorry. i really have no complaints. things are good for the most part. i miss chrissy but she'll be home friday (yay!) overall, i'm adjusting to home life better than i expected. some days are easier than others, but i am doing ok.
i think thats it really. i'll write again soon when something cool happens.
