Weekend Fun!
I actually took Friday off of work as a vacation day and took the cats to the vet. I like to take all three at once since it is less ardous that way but trying to stuff close to 45lbs of cat in carriers and walk them out was quite a chore, not to mention catching them in the first place. They all lost some weight and look very healthy:) I love my vet and I have followed her to West Greenwich which is at least a half hour drive but really worth it. It is like finding a pediatrician that you like, why mess with a good thing!
Hubby came home and off we went to TotalCon. It is like an anniversary thing for us since it is where we first met. It was alot smaller this year due to relationship problems in the people running it but I had a blast!
We played this game called CarWars that rocks, I only play it once a year at the Con but you get cards that describe your car (armor, handling class ect) and a matchbox car and a big track. The object of the game is to destroy the other cars with weapons you have or by ramming, either way is fine :) I won the NE regional championship and got a trophy! What a blast! We also played this zombie larp called zombies, guns and money that was a strategic game. Almost like chess. You got nerf weapons and went thru a maze fighting zombies and searching for ammo, guns and materials to make things. Object of the game was to make it out of the maze. We were the only team (in four) that made it thru, twice even, with some of us alive. We will be featured on the web site.
We had a someone from our WOW guild show up and he hung with us for the weekend. We played some D&D as well, stayed up late and socialized much. I truly, truly enjoyed myself.
It is back to life now but I have a smile on my face... WOOT!
