Damn it is hard to make friends sometimes...
Recently my work hired a part time OT for a Friday shift. She is very much like me (loud, outspoken, obnoxious) and we have a lot of fun the days she is there. We finally planned a happy hour after work but when the date came we both were broke so decided instead to have happy hour at her place since her boyfriend was gone for the weekend.
We had a blast! I stayed until much later than expected chatting and generally blowing steam. I think she would be much fun to hang out with on a regular basis but how the hell does a *cough* mature *cough* woman go about making a friend without coming across as slightly stalkerish? My hope is that her boyfriend is also cool so I can invite them both to things (she would be a great addition to the Lake Shack weekends!).
It was so much easier when I was seven and could just walk up to someone and say "you wanna be my friend?".
