(no subject)
Tomorrow is my mommy's birthday and I actually got the day off! I'm so excited. I had the chefs at work make me a full carrot cake to take to her as her b-day cake. See the plan is to show her the cake and then when she faints....eat it all myself! I know she'll just die when she sees it because she makes me drive all the way out to Gold Canyon (about 30 miles away) to pick her up and take her to my work (another 40 miles or so) just to get some carrot cake. (yes it's that fucking good) I picked up the cake tonight after I clocked out. Holy shit the damn thing is huge!! Super heavy too. I couldn't find a cake box big enough for it (and believe me I searched) so one of the chefs made a box for me. Tonight I went to the trusty walmart and bought an ice chest big enough to put the cake in so it wouldn't die during the long drive tomorrow. It would be fine if all I had to do was drive to my mom's...but noooooooo. First I have to stop at her favorite place and pick up a shit load of sushi...then I have to sneekily meet up with my dad to pick up his gift for her (and pay rent for next month while I'm at it) and theeen I can finally go to her house. So heavy duty ice chest was very much needed. Mom called me today all excited about tomorrow. I'm pretty excited too. I can't wait for her to see the cake as well as the eeoyre pj's I got for her. btw I have matching pj's too. It's about as close to corney girlishness as I get...but I figure it's allowed when it's yer mom.
In other news, Robert got paid and got me some really kick ass jewlery for my birthday. I got a ring and necklace made of fire topaz. I'd never heard of the stuff before, but damn it's pretty. It's all green and purple and blue and stuff depending on which way you look at it. What can I say...I like shiney and sparkly stuff. I just need to find a better chain for the necklace because I know I'll destroy it just by turning my head and the topaz will be gone...which will make me sad.
Now I go drop dead. What a weekend!! Now for two beautiful days off...in a row even.
