Do you see that beautiful piece of Fire Apparatus up there?? I DROVE IT!!! I drove it last night during our driver training course... I went through the course twice and never hit a single cone!!!!
I wasn't sure I could do it... I mean come on, it's HUGE!!! But I did it... now, I will admit I'm not the greatest on the air brakes, but that will come with time and practice...
I actually can't wait to drive it again... I'm still a bit nervous about driving it on the street with cars and real people, but I'm more willing to try now after last night... I'm just so pleased...
My wrist is hurting and I've got one heck of a blister on my palm, but it was so well worth earning the pain
I'm just so darn happy!!
