It feels like the semester just started a month ago, not 3 months ago! This week was final review week for my EMT class and all the finals are next week... I'm starting to get a little nervous... much is at stake here...
Monday:
Practical Final worth 20 points: will encompass all hands-on abilities such as vitals, DCAP-BTLS, splinting, etc. Larry has already allowed us to add all 20 points to our scores so with these 20, my score is 275... I'll need a score of 116+ on the Class Final to be allowed to take the State Exam.
Wednesday:
Class Final worth 150 points: Larry attempted to mirror the State Exam as much as he could to prepare us for the actual State Exam. I need to score 116 or higher... which, if I score 116 out of 150, that would mean I got 34 questions wrong... I don't plan on doing that... I plan on my score being 135 or better.
Saturday:
STATE EXAM @ 9 AM!!!! So long as my points equal 391 or more, I will be taking the State Exam next Saturday.
4-8 Weeks Later:
My results will come back as to whether or not I'm certified to work as an EMT-Basic for either my local fire department or for Trace Ambulance Company.
All I can say is, where the hell does time go?
