An older man came into the store today and recognized the Ani Difranco song I was playing. He hadn't even heard the song before, just recognized the style. He was pleasant and well-mannered and even reccommended a British band called Ariel that he said was similar to Ani.
I was in the midst of reflecting on how I'd never had a better customer, when I heard him laugh heartily at the sight of The DaVinci Cod. That dampened the experience slightly. but still it forced me to admit, however grudgingly, that there may exist some completely decent people who, by some accident of fate or genetics, happen to find The DaVinci Cod hilarious. It was a  very High Fidelity moment.

Then the little voice in my head continued on to say that, if this was indeed true, then there may possibly also be decent people in the world who like Napoleon Dynamite or the Black Eyed Peas.
At this point I stopped listening because the little voice in my head had clearly gone crazy.
