Pokemon Update
I don't feel up to writing about my ultra-comprehensive eye exam yet, so I'll talk about Pokemon some more.
Since my last post, eeraser temporarily lent me her Ditto for stud duty. I then proceeded to breed Glacier with said Ditto until I got a female Eevee.
11 eggs later... (Keep in mind I'd save close to when they were going to hatch, check what gender they were when they did, and if they were a male, I'd reload, store the egg, and start again with another egg.)
I actually got two females in a row after the eleven. The first one had a Hasty Nature and was impetuous and silly. Not terribly Showers-like at all. The second one had a Relaxed Nature and was proud of its power... now that's Showers right there.
So I evolved that one into a Vaporeon. I have my baby back! Only thing I don't like is her animation is this version -- she bounces around way too gleefully.
So now I have Showers and my Gabite in daycare to raise their levels. I find this a lot faster than the Exp. Share method. Since last night, Showers has gained 25 levels and my Gabite has gained 6 levels -- great for the latter since he's damn near impossible to level because of his slow exp. rate. The only issue is that moves can be replaced while in Day Care (I actually lost Icy Wind on Glacier -- thank God I didn't lose Ice Beam), but that's not a problem with those two because I didn't teach them any TMs, and if I want them to go back and learn something, I do have Heart Scales.

I may replace Biter with a Leafeon after I beat the 8th Gym.
