the holy King

[firebreather]

the silence caves in as
finally Someone sighs.

looking fondly at the blue globe,
sighing sadly as His children are
engaging in war and killing,
blood-filled voices crying
from the now-red earth.
He knew He made the right
decision; His children
were - no, are- worth
saving.
and He did.
a Man of questionable background,
not just gentle, meek and mild,
but strong, assertive and
compassionate.
some said He was a Prophet,
others called Him a lunatic.
there were few that called Him
by His rightful title:
Lord.

and now, even after those
years passed by on that
planet He lovingly created
with simple words,
they forgot Him.
they mocked His people,
they mocked His name.
bowing down to worthless idols
and to themselves.
gazing wonderfully at their
new faces, even though they were
perfect before.

He sighs sadly, as he prepares
for His return as the Holy King.
