Today has been a good day so far.
For starters, I had an exam on Java programming. It was awesome - first exam since I started university in which I haven't run out of time! I answered all the questions I had to, and I'm pretty sure I got most of them right. It was quite fun, too, in much the same way that Maths exams used to be kinda fun before they got really hard. Remind me again why I'm studying Maths, not Computing?
I also did all the non-revising things I had to do today: my first ever outgoing international package is now posted, I have some potatoes, and my university now knows where to send my exam results in the summer. Getting stuff done is good :)
In addition to this, I picked up a package that arrived for me. It turned out to be Pokemon Platinum, which isn't officially out until tomorrow. So much for revising for my exam tomorrow. Nah, I'm not gonna stay up all night playing Platinum. I'm not ready to play it yet; I haven't even decided whether to play as a boy or a girl yet, let alone what I'll call myself or my little Turtwig. Or what my team's going to be, which I've been trying to decide for approximately two months, now. So I guess I'll be up all night deciding that stuff instead.
Seriously, I know more of my team for Heart Gold, which isn't even out in Japan until autumn, than I do for Platinum, which I'm staring at my copy of right now. Heart Gold: Chikorita, Eevee (which will be an Umbreon when it evolves), Pidgey ('cause I'm not predictable at all). Platinum: Turtwig. No, really, that's it.
I seem to be falling in love with GAME a bit. I mean, first they had a Shaymin event, which was all kinds of awesome, and now they're delivering pre-ordered games before the release date? Truly, they are shiny. I just hope they keep it up - I'd love some more Pokemon events.
Oh, and the sun is shining. Does life get much better than this? *Happily ignores tomorrow's exam*
Edit at 11pm: And now it's hit me just exactly how screwed I am. I've been trying to revise for a few hours now and it's not working, dammit! Am currently going through a past paper, failing to work out any of the answers on my own, looking at the answers and not understanding them.
Right now I'm trying to work out how they got from... oh heck, I'm an idiot. Never mind. My calculator is my friend. (In case you're wondering, basically a^2 x b^2 = (a x b)^2.)
How on Earth am I expecting to get a Maths degree in 3 years' time? I can't even do basic stuff like that, and goodness knows I can't differentiate or integrate to save my life. Literally. FML.
real life,
pokemon,
i'm an idiot,
revision sucks,
life is good
