Rewind
Okay so I need to rewind to the weekend before last because I had some pretty "interesting" things happpen.
I guess I would have to say it all started Thursday Morning. I had been trying to get a job working at the First American Corporation for about 2 months. It took them that long to finally call me about setting up an interview and ironically it wasn't even for one of the 6 jobs i applied for, but still one i wanted. After several days of rescheduling and miscommunication I finally got to do the interview Thursday morning. It was pretty harmless, I thought I did pretty well. The lady said that she had to pass on my responses to her questions to the hiring manager and if they wanted to continue with me, then they would contact me. Well, because of Ange, I knew the hiring manager was out of town on vacation and wouldnt be back until the following Monday, so i was all prepared to wait.
Friday: I went to Denton to see the ATO boy perform in the eagle escapades. It's like a skit/dance competition between all of the greek week teams. It's usually pretty fun be this year it was kind of lame. the opening act was a middle school step team and they did better than most of the greek week teams. After that we went to this place called Fuzzy's taco, yes it really is called that. We had some overly priced food and drinks, but it's whatev because Kevin (my old roommate that I love ) was in town visiting and showed up. So that was mucho fun. After that we all went back to the ATO house and partied. By this point it was too late to buy liquor and i didnt want to drink beer so Scott and I went to the store and bought wine. I bought a merlot and a gerwurtztraminer. Two completely different types and colors of wine and drank them both. I was trashed, cut my hand open while climbing a ladder and was not looking to hot, but I kept my shit together and didnt throw up til i got home :)
Saturday:I awoke to several missed calls from my father, so i finally called him back. He told me that yolie(my step mom) had a friend over who was looking for someone to come work at her company and that i should come over and meet with here and talk about it. I was NOT pretty and still hung over. My eyes were all bloodshot and i was in no condition for first impressions, but i need a job so i went. turns out they started drinking at 11 and didnt care. I talked to here and the place was an invstment firm in dallas. I had decided that was the field i wanted to go into that was an actual realistic expectation so i liked it. I gave her my resume and she said it looked good and by the end of the day she loved me. So hopefully something will come of it. After sitting around watching them be drunk and having to play old lady games with them i better get it.
Cody had been begging me to go out with him and I found out a lot of my other friends were going out that night too so I decided to go. It was fun for a while. Cody showed up with Josh because Josh is a bum and refuses to pay auto insurance, so he can't drive his car. He therefore spends all week trying to find someone to agree to take him to dallas on Saturdays. As per Cody I found out that upon getting into Cody's truck Josh requested that Cody stay out at least until 3 AM because he had made plans to hook up with this couple(TRASHY) Cody is nice and agreed, but when I found out i was pissed. Who treats their friends like that? No one! Thats why I no longer consider Josh a friend and Cody should follow me with that. Cody also tells me that he talked the guy hes been dating for like 2 months and the guy told him that none of his friends know cody exists because he doesnt want to be one of those guys that "brings a guy around his friends and then 2 weeks later they are broken up" Thats understandable except for the fact that they had already been dating over two months. THEN cody saw him out at the club, and the guy was with his friends and completely ignored Cody. Like an asshole. This sent cody into a self destructive drinking frenzy of shots. Cody cannot handle his alcohol so we knew it was gonna get real ugly real fast. About 30 minutes later im trying to keep up with him running around the club. He's Pissed and angry and wants to go home, I would too, but he didnt want to make josh made by ruining his hook up. So he got his keys from josh and went to just go take a nap in his truck. Well josh saw that this might ruin his plans so he got cody's bf and told him to go talk to him and took him to the truck, which was the last thing cody wanted, so he ended up getting pissed again and coming back to the club, where i found him. He was really angry and drunk. What would have been the logical, friend thing to do at this moment? Give up your hook up and take your drunk ride home. What did josh Do? "oh i found someone else to give me a ride home , but you cant leave yet cause youre drunk" Cody then storms out of the club and I go after him, along the way running into kyle who i havent seen in forever and Schafer, a guy I started talkin to the week before and had wanted to see that night, but I didnt have time to talk to him because i had to make sure cody didn't drive. Surprisingly enough josh joined me in the pursuit. after a while he realized we were following him and going to try to stop him from driving so he started running to his truck. we beat him there and took his keys. then he decided he was just going to walk to his ex pauls place(another crazy) we were gonna let him but we followed to make sure he got there okay. then he took off at a full sprint. we were close to my car so we got in it real fast and just followed him down the street. This made him extremely angry cause he wanted to be left alone but was in no condition to be so. Then, trying to get away from us he ran into a park, it was ridiculous.the whole time i was driving around trying to find him josh was all like "hey do you think you could take me by his truck so i can get my stuff and then drop me off at the club(so i can do my hook up)" i just kept saying "NO! fuck you!" I guess that since we were on the corner of the tollway and lemon and there was nowhere for him to run he just gave up and came to my car. He starts yelling at us about how hes just gonna drive to his parent(45 minutes away) and to just leave him alone. I finally have had enough and i see josh is just not going to give in and take him home so i go, "heres what we are gonna do. Im giving josh your keys so he can go do his hook up or whatever and then drive your truck back to denton. I will take you home since i know you have a midterm due tomorrow and im a good friend." josh loved the idea, cody hated it, but regardless i threw him in my care and gave josh the keys. Just then the Hookup mobile pulled up and josh got in with them(i later found out its this nasty couple that i know, i hope they enjoyed sharing diseases) So i drive the 45 minutes out of my way to take cody home. Hes angry at me for not leaving him alone, so i yell at him for the first ten minutes or so until he shuts up and passes out. i take him home and put him to bed and hes still pissed by thankful. we have a special relationship.
after that i head over to my friend brandon's apartment because even though its already 4 am they are still partying. i was only there for like 20 minutes cause he was too trashed for it to matter so i just left while he was getting a beer. I drove home. When i got home I found Cujo dead in the laundry basket. He had been getting progressively worse over the past few days so we lined a laundry basket with blankets and pillows for him and just let him go. He was 14, it was time. I said some more good byes to him and then went to bed. Before i went to sleep i decided to check my email. In it I had an email from First American that had been sent on friday. it basically said " welcome to first American! your orientation date is this, bring the attached paperwork filled out, and we will show you to your desk or orientation site" i was like "sweet, i have a job" but then i realized that it seemed odd because i hadnt had a formal interview and the managers were out of town.So i didnt trust it.
Sunday: Sunday was good cause i just did nothing for most of the day. I was never able to go meet back up with Schafer and talk to him because of the cody fiasco but we made plans to get dinner that night. We went to village burger bar(love it) and ate, after that we went to jrs for drinks and then went and saw the Spiderwick Chronicles. I wasnt sure if it was a friend thing or a date thing at first, but when he started paying for everything i figured it out.when i asked for well vodka, he bought me grey goose *tear* He's a good guy. Pretty funny, and smart. He was a little quirky too as in terrified of driving in the rain, which it had been all day. It scared him even more when i was speeding and playing with my cell phone and ipod while driving in the rain. it was fun to watch him squirm. after the movies i just went home and went to bed, it was nice.
