So I posted my car on craigslist.org for sale.
and I get this mail.
"Good day,
Is This Item Still For Sale...Let me know ASAP because i am
very much interested in purchasing it
Thanks and God bless ..."
from a guy named Walx Yes (according to his google name)
so I respond with this..
"Hi, Yes, it's still on for sale, and it's for local only, but if you want to check out the car, please let me know"
few minute after, I get this email..
"Thanks for the quick responds. My name is WALX joe i live in TX but
I'll be leaving for Berlin for a new job in two day's time. am buying
this item for my son who is exchange student in West Africa needs to
be sent a birthday package, I could have pick it up myself but due to
a tight schedule and the hectic nature of my job, I can't. I want to
surprise him so I will be paying you $2000 for your asking price plus
the shipping fee through the USPS Express mail(EMS). This will be done
via PayPal because it pays and secures both parties in a transaction.
I also need you to provide me with a PayPal money Request. If you
don't have a PayPal account, I recommend that you sign up for one
at
www.PayPal.com All this information should be provided correctly to
avoid wrong payment. I will be very grateful to hear from you soon"
Clearly, it's a scammer.. but I'm not sure how I want to respond to him..
I started writing this... but I'm asking you all for a fun respond to send it back.
"Well, first of all, I don't think that you can ship the car through USPS Express mail.
I mean, really, you should really read what you are trying to scam before you send me a generic email.
good luck scamming other people, but seriously...."
any thought?
