Dear lord, what's this? Multiple art uploads? XD Le gasp! I actually got quite a bit of drawing on the tour and on the plane rides, but to me that's like... three drawings. Two of my art requests are finished!! (Well, almost,
laryna6's request still needs me to pencil in my really crappy attempts to draw guns. I'll upload hers whenever I get that done, which should be very, very soon.)
freaky_zero - I didn't have a reference picture for Havoc so I didn't know how to draw him at ALL. D: I'll have to finish him later!
Pretty Michiru (Sailor Neptune) --somehow, I gave her normal-human proportions, not anime ones. Oo;; Weird.
Art Request #1: Raito in L's clothing -- for
terza_teabeef :D

As for the trip itself...
Europe was AMAZING. It felt like we just went everywhere; London in England, Paris and its surrounding areas in France, Innsbruck in Austria (which hosted two Winter Olympics ^^), Geneva in Switzerland (still as beautiful as I remember), Brussel in Belgium, the area of Lugano, the famous Romantic Road through lower Germany, the (English) Dover and (French) Calais ports on both sides of the English Channel, numerous Switzerland and French villages, and a lot more places that I can't remember off the top of my head. We saw most of the famous monuments and buildings in each of the seven countries we went to, which was insane because we were always on the move and barely spent a day in any one place. @_@
My favorite places (to name a few) was the "Cinderella Castle" in Germany that Walt Disney based his own famous castle off of, Versailles in France, the Sacred Coeur ("Sacred Heart") and Notre Dame basilicas in Paris, the Geneva fountain in Switzerland, and basically all of Switzerland in general because that country is so beautiful it hurts. >< We had some delightful moments like when it POURED as we got to the Sacred Coeur but stopped just in time for us to see the sun rise over the basilica and give us this huge double rainbow right against the side of the church. Buckingham Palace had gorgeous statues on the outside, but I wasn't able to go in. Windsor Palace was uglier on the outside but it had so many beautiful little museums and masses of furniture on the inside that I liked it almost as much as I liked Versailles. (I love basilicas now, have I mentioned? XD Palaces too, of course. Dammit, some of the places we went to were so lavish that it made me wonder how disgustingly wealthy people were in the past. ^^; ) The Alps were STUNNINGLY beautiful, of course, even more so than in pictures. We were able to see a lot of the range both through driving and also through a train ride right through some of the most famous passes. It was the first time I've seen glaciers and snow-capped mountains in the middle of summer, which was AWESOME.
Did I mention the weather was BEAUTIFUL there?! (Of course, it rained most of the time that we were in London, but that's okay.) What's up with the mild, windy summers in Europe? D8 I LOVE those! Why can't America be that nice? I came back and I was already sweating like a pig from the moment we left the airport. It SUCKS here because of the damn heat wave and my grandma and mom are having some sort of spatfight that I really don't want to get involved in. On the bright side, I'm not TOO jetlagged, but I'm swapped with stuff I have to do so I'll be really slow catching up with stuff. Most of it involves getting dentist appointments, getting passports renewed, packing for school, cleaning out Deviantart, that sort of thing. Its my last week-ish of summer and I already dread school. *SIIIIIIIIIIIIGH*
Back on topic, a few interesting facts I learned from Europe:
~Brussel is like the headquarters of EVERYTHING. O_o The UN and NATO and something else has their HQ there.
~You can SEE across the English Channel. When we were sailing back to Dover from Calais, I was shocked that I could still see the French coast when we were sailing in to the English coast. Weird.
~All of those famous paintings in I see of Napolean and other kings from my history textbooks were either in Versailles or Windsor Palace. XD I'm probably just ignorant, but that was really cool to see.
~Italian people have a lot of attitude. That's all I'll say. << >>
~European toilets and bathtubs are so WEIRD. The oddest one was one in France where it looked like a shower stall that you stood up on to go to the bathroom --better than China though, so I can't complain. On the other hand, I always had to spend more than a few minutes trying to figure out how the hell to work the bathrooms of each hotel.
~The exchange rate between USD and the Euro SUCK. @_@ Just for anyone that wants to go to Europe from the States....
~Sadly, Europeans didn't like seeing us trying to speak their language. XD Everyone could speak English anyways so I didn't really get to try out my French or anything...
Ah, as for pictures... they'll come in the next few days once I sort through the good and the bad. ^^; We have two memory cards filled so it'll be a while before I'm able to get everything done.
