First off, I WHOLE HEARTEDLY apologize to everyone on Facebook that had to put up with all the spam in the last two days. D: Feel free to ignore this post if you've seen the pics already or don't freakin' care. ^^;
So I disappeared off the planet on Saturday 'cause I went with a personal friend, two Tekkoshocon friends (Cathy, who cosplays Edward Elric, and Patches, who's a staff member of Tekko) and one of their friends to downtown Pittsburgh for a Fullmetal Alchemist photoshoot. My friend, Nicole, and Patches offered to be photographers, which was really, really nice of them because I felt bad that we were dragging them around town with us. ^^; Nicole is a cosplayer but had no previous experience with photography, but she learned by watching Patches so we ended up with EXCELLENT pictures on both cameras. Patches took over 200 pics, and Nicole used my camera to take about 140. (In the end, after culling them down and photoshopping only select few, we only ended up with like... 40 usable ones, haha. Oh well, no pain no gain!)
We wandered around the east side of the city for at least five or six hours, which was a little painful because we had to deal with the blinding sun (I was sweating like a pig while dressed as Mustang), a lot of pissed off drivers (not at us, thankfully, but scary!driving) and physical problems such as me being unable to lift my legs past 30 degrees off the floor and Cathy's wig constantly fighting with the wind. We actually didn't get as MANY stares as we thought we would (probably 'cause it's... well, a city), which I was grateful for because I've never cosplayed out in public before. On the bright side, a few people actually saluted at me either from the sidewalk or from moving cars (seriously) and I barely reacted fast enough to salute them back.
ANYWAYS, our epic journey resulted in the following pics. :D I photoshopped the ones from my camera while Amanda photoshopped the ones from hers. Clearly, our photoshopping techniques are VERY different, so it's just interesting to see. ^^; This collection involved a lot of confusing teamwork, but we somehow made it work. :D
Photographers: Amanda Lore ("Patches"), Nicole Warner, me

The sun decided to blind us exactly during this shot. Hence the squinting. X_x This was on a random stairwell by a bridge. Good thing Pittsburgh is full of those. :D (Photo by Nicole Warner, PS by me.)

Old-fashioned lights and sketchy alleyways are surprisingly common in Pittsburgh. :D (Photo by Nicole Warner, PS by me.)

SUP DAWGS?! That's an "E" for Ed and "M for Mustang, in case you can't tell. xD (Photo by Nicole Warner.)
On a serious note, we actually took 350 have over 50 pics. You can see the entire photoshoot
here. (At some point, I will get around to spamming my cosplay.com account with all these pics. Eventually. X____x)
The end result of all of this was that our Ed is now sunburned on her ears and I am horribly sore from both spending a day in stiff boots and a uniform. X____x; And I'm not quite sure I'll do the cosplay in public thing again since it's a little stressful (you're so PARANOID! @_@; ) and we definitely had people doing unhealthy things like rubbernecking to stare at us from inside their cars. (I did, however, get a salute from one driver. XD)
