My batch of girly moments for the week.
Okay, so... << >>; Period finally came today. I think it actually just came EARLY last month, which is why my calculations were off. It does actually seem to be back at the cycle that I used to have in high school where it would start somewhere near the numerical day of the last day of the previous cycle. (For example, if my period ran from March 1 - 7, then the next one would start April 7, or right around then.) This... may be a great thing, 'cause if this cycle holds then it'll miss Tekkoshocon by 2-3 days. Unfortunately, I'll definitely have tenderness and what not to deal with. *sigh*
What are all the things you're supposed to do to minimize tenderness, PMS, and breaking out and stuff? I'm going to need all the advice I can get for next month. ._. I know something about not eating/drinking salty stuff because that helps water retention. (My skin's doing this annoying thing where I'm breaking out --slightly, thankfully-- around my hairline, which is something I NEVER had when I was going through puberty. The hell. >_O; Can you even use face wash there or would that cause dandruff?)
Also, are there some emergency things to do about pimples before a convention? I don't tend to get them often but when I get one of those big ones, even my meds don't seem to help. :/
Yes. Anyways. I'm either screwed or "okay" for my Physics and Developmental Lab exams tomorrow. *SIIIIIGH* I feel no urge to study with spring break so close, which is really, really bad.
In other news, I downloaded all of Leona Lewis's The Spirit CD and I love it ALL. (She sings Snow Patrol's "Run"! I like her version and her music video better, her voice is just so haunting.) Also, I forgot how much I loved Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You". Man, that song will never get old. I wish I could sing like those two. D:
Also, I'm becoming increasingly impressed with Lady Gaga. I heard her sing "Poker Face" acoustically (with only her voice and her piano) and she's got an amazing voice that you can't really hear in the computerized songs. Unlike so many artists nowadays, she can both sing AND write songs. (For anyone that didn't know, she used to write for Pussycat Dolls and other artists before A-kon realized she had a good voice herself and produced her first album.)
Admittedly, her videos are all really weird, but there's something quite artistic and creative about them. (Plus, she uses wigs, which makes me REALLY proud of her. 8D) I really like the "Poker Face" music video, but not so much "Just Dance" (inflatable whale, wtf O_o) or "Love Game". She's definitely not much of a dancer, but I can forgive her for that 'cause I like her songs and she's more about the music anyways. XD She's not the prettiest person either (though she's quite pretty in parts of Poker Face) but she doesn't seem to care and that makes me like her. You go, girl! Keep being creative and artistic and not giving a damn!
