Ouran HSHC Dubbed Episodes 1-2. O__O
THEY DUBBED THE OPENING AND ENDING SONGS?!?! ><; WHY, FUNIMATION, WHY?!!?
Okay off to force myself to watch the rest of the episode.
Katilyn Glass (Haruhi) is SUCH a good actress, that much I can say. Her voice can sound extremely bored in the beginning (as it should) and then jumps an octave when she gets freaked out. It's quite impressive, actually. ^^ I definitely like her.
Okay, so, surprisingly, Vic's Tamaki isn't bad. Not nearly as good as the Japanese version, but not... tragic. If you don't see Tamaki on the screen and you just hear his narration, it actually sounds quite good (though I couldn't tell if it was Tamaki or another member of the Host Club talking). The very good thing: He does NOT sound like Ed. The somewhat bad thing: It still sounds... pretty Vic-like. But it's definitely a new, unique voice compared to his other voices, so I guess I can be grateful for that. ^^; He's not animated enough though. ;_;
OH, that's what sounded weird about Vic's Tamaki. He sounds awfully young. I think Tamaki's Japanese voice is deeper than that, not that it was deep to begin with. ._.;; In fact, he kind of sounds like Nero's voice from Devil May Cry, which is kind of disturbing in my head. ^^;
AHAHAHAHA okay, I take that back, Vic is still VERY GOOD at freaking out, you just have to wait for it. XDDD *giggles at him* Some of the lines still sound hilarious in English, especially since Tamaki was trying to speak English in random lines. And referring to Kyouya in English as "MAAAMMAAAAAA ;_;" is so weird, but it makes me laugh so I can forgive him. XD "A GIRL SHOULD NEVER REFER TO HIMSELF AS A 'DUDE'!!!" I don't think I've ever heard Vic say "dude" up until now, haha.
Kyouya sounds... off. I'm not sure why, but he sounds off. Maybe a little too old. Not terrible either though, but he sounds older or something than the rest of the Host Club.
The twins sound damn accurate. ^^; I kinda like them.
Hani-chan irritates my ears beyond all reason but he sounds pretty accurate to the Japanese, too.
Haven't heard Mori yet... Okay, I heard Travis grunt. ;_; DAMMIT, GIMME MORE LINES.
DUDE, the cast video is a panel interview from a convention and it's SO FUNNY. They all came out in character and dressed up in blue jackets and everything. XDDD And the twins pretended to 'kiss' and Hani's actor jumped on her seat and everything. Oh man, I'm such a geek for this sort of thing. 8D
OH MY GOD, THEY GOT MIKE MCFARLAND (sp?) TO COME OUT AS RANKA-SAN. CROSS-DRESSING. HOLY CRAP, YES. XD THIS IS SO EPIC.
And they're going to have outtakes at some point! YES!!!!
