I am totally leaving town now for Hurricane Dennis. After driving my car in the middle of a (60 mph wind) tropical storm, I know what a (180 mph) Category 4 Hurricane can do. When it comes on land on Sunday morning, I am gonna be somewhere else. As of now there is a 80% chance that it's going to hit Gulfport Mississippi. Meteorologists say that if it does hit directly at Gulfport, than we'll get strong Category 1 winds here in New Orleans. Strong (95 mph) category 1 winds is still grounds for leaving. This Hurricane is going to work to my advantage, because I might get to see my friend Josh.
We're (my family) most likely going to leave on Saturday morning to head for Memphis. Josh lives 2 and a half hours away in Nashville. So I'm going to take a small vacation to Nashville to visit him. I haven't seen (or hung out with) him in over 2 years. So It's going to be cool to see an old friend...especially since he has no friends in Nashville. The only time he has any fun is twice a year when he flies to Arizona and visits his fiance (Britney).
Well...anyway, if that Category 4 Hurricane looks like it's coming directly for New Orleans, be somewhere else, because it's going to be devastating.
