Moving to Texas blog
After 6 months of not wanting to leave Las Vegas, I am finally in the mindset of "can't wait to get to Austin." I moved up my date from June originally, to March, now to the last week of February. I am so excited and ready to move on with the next part of my life.
Mike is in town this week! We are going to see LOVE, go to the art and dance on First Friday, catch Pan de Sal and maybe some silly group bowling at Red Rock station on Sunday, and celebrate his 28th birthday on Monday. We plan to dine at Firefly, Haichi, that Ethiopian place nearby, and Vintner Grill, delicious! We also plan to lay around all the time and bask in our happiness/excitement.
I imagine it will take a while before I am used to living there. How long before it doesn't feel like an extended vacation? I have a small cushion of money, so I won't have to get a job the second I get there. I am looking forward to exploring a city. And making friends. And going to sleep next to Mike G every night. Prolly forever.
