Winter break is long.
My dad bought a new car. So, he is letting me drive the old one over break, which is awesome. I like having a car, but it's HUGE. It's the size of a double cab pickup truck, and I'm so used to my little subaru. Anyway, it's a car, so it's cool.
And friend Becca who lives 250 miles away from me was going to come visit over break and on her way got into a terrible accident. She's ok, but her car isn't. So I used my dad's car (see? They're USEFUL fuckers) and came out here to see her. Yay!!! But the passes are terrifying. Even with my dad's four wheel drive, I was scared. I went 35 in a 65 because the roads were so bad. And the four wheel drive literally saved someone's life. He was going the OTHER direction and lost control of his car, went over the 5 foot grassy median and across both lanes of traffic going my way. I braked in time, and didn't swerve into him. The car in the other lane next to me didn't, and hit him in the trunk area. It was bad. But I'm here, and I get to go home tomorrow. Ewww.....
