My weekend...

So, Friday I got my copy of FF13 and played the heck outta it.
So goooooood, but a bit slow pacing wise.

Satuday, David and I had a lazy morning and then headed up to ECCC - this is where our real story begins.
We got in Leigh's car (the Mazda) and I noticed that the gas gauge said somewhere between 1/3rd & 1/4 tank of gas. Thinking to myself "ehhh shoud I get gas or just go for it and get some on the way home?" I decided that why do now what you can do later and left. We cruise up to Seattle and pull off at the Seneca St. exit.
And the car stalls out.
"WTF?" I think as I try to restart the car only to get coughing lameo not starting. Kinda like the once before when it wouldn't start due to the gas tank being a bit too empty and it was parked on a weird slope.
Thinking to myself "the slope here isn't THAT bad, what the hell?" I push the car a touch to get it rolling and pull into a blessedly close and available parking spot. (Thank you parking gods!)
I try to start the car again - no luck.
Deciding that the car is out of gas, and realizing I'm in the middle of DOWNTOWN FUCKING SEATTLE WHERE MEN DO NOT BELIEVE IN GAS STATIONS, David and I lock up the car ad start hiking generally down to SODO.
Along the way we catch glimpses of the St. Patrick's Day parade and even stop to ask a nice motorcycle cop where there is a gas station. He directs us to 5th & Dearborn. Yup, the closest is the one down near Uyajimaya.

David and I hike down, get a gas can and gas and hike all the way back up to the car. By the time we return to the car, the parade is long over and traffic isn't nearly so stupid anymore in downtown. We deposit gas in the car and lo and behold, it starts right up. We then drive to the parking garage and park, go do the ECCC thing (OMG crowded!!!!), and decide to leave after buying a GIANT pikachu and seeing Kat & Kris.

Heck, after our adventure (and getting more gas) we even decided to have an early dinner @ IHOP and call it an early day.

To round out the weekend, apart from running some errands on Sunday, the rest of the weekend was nice & relaxing. David really was a trooper with the stupidity that is running out of gas when the tank still reads "1/3rd full", so at least that was nice. And we did get some exercise. And it was a rather nice day on Saturday.

So not all bad...
