After a trip that spanned five states and over 1100 miles over two days, I've finally arrived in Sebring.
The trip down last night saw more detours than I've ever encountered in one trip -- one for a chemical spill which shut down the Southbound lanes, and one for a bridge construction project that closed the entire highway going both ways -- both on I-95. So instead of driving straight through, I got to put my own organic GPS (that is, plain old sense of direction) to work, and managed to lose very little time on the road.
Getting here on Wednesday, I already feel like I'm a day or two late. There's already been two days of testing and lots of excitement on the track. Next time around, might have to make it a longer trip.
Anyway, it's 8:14 AM and I've been up all night driving. I need a shower and probably some rest, but there's no rest for the wicked, here. I'll sleep some time late tonight.
More to come...
