Lasik went well on Friday. My appointment was at 9:00am, but because of the weather we left at around 7:15am to get there on time. We ended up getting there an hour early, and leaving before my sheduled appointment. That's right, i was there for less than an hour. I met with the doctors, took more pictures of my eyes, and reviewed post-op procedures. The actual procedure took less than 10 minutes. No pain whatsoever too. They put the clamp on your eye, then attach some ring type thing (i think that is what they use to cut the cornea flap.) That was the most uncomfortable thing. They had to press it down hard and there was pressure on the eye, but no pain. Then i just had to stare at the red blinking light and it took about 3-4 minutes per eye. I went home and slept from 9:30am til about 5:00pm (they gave me some Tylenol PM.) I have to sleep for the next week wearing goggles so i dont rub my eyes or Rob doesn't elbow me in the face. I also have to use eye drops to prevent swelling and infection for the next week. I went back on Saturday (drove myself) for my post-op appointment and everything looks great. They tested my vision and it is 20/15!!! I don't think i've ever even had 20/20 vision. Everything is really clear and i have no discomfort. I currently see halos around bright lights at night, but the doctors said that is expected and should go away in a few weeks/months. Overall I'm very satisfied and it was well worth the expense.
