Wow... I really do not update this thing half as often as i probably could.
My last update was kind of a bummer and thus again...things could have been much brighter in the past 3 months.
Rob's sister suddenly died at the age of 38. We were having a birthday party for Rob's daughter and she was supposed to be there, but went to the hospital with Flu-like symptoms. Later that night Rob and his brother got a call that they needed to get to the hospital right away. She passed before Rob made it to the hospital, after going into cardiac arrest 3 times and 95% kidney failure. It was a big shock and although i can count how many times i have talked to her on two hands, it hurt to watch people so close to me in so much pain. PA state law says that if you die within 24 hours of being admitted into a hospital, there must be an autopsy performed. We're still waiting on the results. It was also hard to explain to Rob's children that there Aunt was dead. They, however took it well and said their goodbyes at the funeral...which was also quite sad to see.
I've determined that October is not a good month. Especially in reguards to days containing the number 8! My grandmother and brother both died on the 18th. When i was dating Garrett in my Sophmore year his brother committed suicide on the 18th (coincidently the same way that my brother died 18 years prior...on the same day). And now Rob's sister dies on the 8th of October. Im just asking that i don't have to attend any more funerals in the next few months, possibly years. 3 in 5 months is quite enough for me.
In happier news, i no longer work on Saturdays. I was able to jam in another client (A GIRL!!!) two days a week for 4 hours...so i don't have to work 6 days a week. It makes for busy, back-to-back days with multiple clients, but having Saturdays off is well worth it. It was really hard to leave a certain few of my rugrats on Saturday mornings for Wonder Kids (a social skills group), but i left them in good hands.
I need a vacation. If anyone knows a good place for a quick weekend retreat let me know.
