The Update You've All Been Waiting For!
Hello all! Well, it's been about a week, so I figure I should update. Please forgive me for not doing it in a while, I've been caught up in some communities I joined concerning Crohn's Disease and IBS.
Anyways, the good, the bad, and the ugly!
The good: I applied at Johnson Controls for two jobs. I should get payed no less than $30,000 a year, I get health insurance the first day of work and it's a clerical position. I also got tons of hours at Summerfest so I should be getting a good check from that! Will and I are doing fine. We've been kind of aloof lately, but I think we've attacked and beaten the problem.
More good: I also have been looking at some new apartments. I have calculated that if I get this new job I can definitely afford a place on my own. Of course Will would come to until he can get his own place. I'm looking at places outside of Milwaukee. Places like Brown Deer, Greenfield, Mequon, Greendale, and the like. Don't worry, I'll still be around! ;) But all the places I'm looking at seem to be awesome. They have washer and dryers in the unit, pools, fitness centers, ect. I'm excited. I really hope I get offered a job at Johnson Controls!!!
The bad: I'm still sick. Yes, it's been over two months and I'm still sick. Grrr! My esophagus still hurts, I have sores in my gumline, and my tonsils are swelling. It's not a Crohn's flare-up, it's not a viral infection, problem is.....We have no idea what it is. I got a blood test on Thursday and my throat got looked at. I don't have any white on my tonsils so that's good. They are swollen though. The blood test is looking for Mono among other things. I was put on antibiotics in case it is bronchitis or something of that nature. The doc is trying to do all she can for me w/o me having to pay too much out of pocket since I don't have insurance yet (We'll get back to that one). So I'm on Zithromax and hopefully that helps. WE do not want it to be Mono!!! If it is, I will miss too much work and Will would prolly have it too. :(
More bad: The health insurance issue is as follows..... I sent in my application and payment a few weeks ago to Madison. A week ago on Friday, I got an envelope in the mail from the post office. In the envelope, part of my application was found. I say part b/c the last page and the letter from my old insurance company were missing. The envelope I had put it in was also gone....not to mention the check for $513! So now I have to deal with all that crap. I won't go into details, but that was a horrible weekend for me. So, to try to make other's lives slightly better.....I called Tonye to warn him about it b/c he is applying to the same plan. Needless to say, Will wasn't too thrilled about that one.
Ok...The ugly: Um.....not too much. I'm not too happy about my appearance as of late. I just don't like the way my body looks. This is another reason I want to move into a place with a pool. Cuz then I can swim laps and get back into shape! There's this guy at work that is a complete Ass and I absolutely cannot stand him. I worked with him on Wednesday night and it was horrible. In addition to setting off alarms so I'd have to run and investigate them, he managed to insult me every few minutes for six hours. As a result, I told my supervisor I will never again work with the guy. I just refuse to be treated that way. Unfortunately, I have to see him every Sunday because he's the one that is on duty after me. But oh well! Hopefully I get a new job that begins right after Summerfest (July 5) and I won't ever have to deal with him again!
So there's your update folks! Hope is was worth it!
P.S. I tried all day to upgrade my phone and calling plan and the damn computer wouldn't accept my credit card b/c the bank and AT&T both had different addresses than each other and from what I actually live at right now. So, I am slightly frustrated due to that! That is all!
