"Chut up!" - a quote from the girl of donnie darko

I know, I know, I know...I am long overdue for a freaking update and so here it goes...

And so the hero of this journal finished up on his first year of college, pulling in grades that didn't turn out so shabby...overtime of course, but rather than delve into a deep reflection of anything that has gone on or consider how I may have matured over the last few months, I will just leave it at that. Everyone knows how much of an effect college life has on anyone, even if it is at the University of Chicago, where fun goes to die ( my ass). With an awesome roommate, Jimmy, and friend that I have, along with the likes of Shuaib, Caroline, and Somayeh, and Gloria, to name a few people, it is enough said to say that there was good times all about. And now as I move out of my decent sized double dorm room with Jimmy, we get to move in with Juan, into the elite of triples, outfitted with a dining room, living room, kitchen, bedroom and kitchen...let us all say hello to cooking and just spacing out in front of the TV just like home sweet home!

Speaking of home sweet home, this summer, I haven't been home that much at all and it is not that I have been away at some exotic location like Jersey, no, far from that. Another summer is spent serving the elite people of the business world at Acqua Pazza, a slick Italian restaurant in midtown. I've kind of gotten tired of Midtown, but the opulence of the people who come in, together with the drudgery of being a busser, has made me that more motivated to make it big in this world, and I am hoping that medical school is my ticket...it has been a goal of mine since high school afterall. But despite that work and all, I still manage to have time to form awesome bonds with people, both in and outside of work...Take for example:

Evidence:
On Thursday, I was asked by a waiter at work if I would be willing enough so as to do him a favor. The mission: He was applying for a job at Madison Square Garden and in doing so, they asked him for a drug test, though he does the ganja every now and then. Surely enough, I agreed to it and before you know it, he present me with a empty bottle of apple juice. I did my business and handed him the warm excess that is me. Mission accomplished. On a side note, you may ask yourself what happened to him and the excess? He built a "device" and this device? He wrapped the bottle in duct tape in a matter such that the duct tape had flaps on the side, long flaps, that could be used as a belt to wrap around his body. After finishing my deed, he tied up the bottle up against his crotch under his boxers, the warmness on him. "this shit it hot!" He exclaims. He put on his pants and all and you couldnt see anything, it was undetectable. He went to the place to get tested, poured in my pee and discarded the bottle. Let us all hope for the best for him. I haven't done anything since the last time I had to get a drug test to work at the UC Hospital, and I haven't touched anything since. I was clear from that, so he should be clear for this. Oh the things we do to lend a helping hand, or bodily fluid.
