This is kind of funny, and not, at the same time...
A guy I deal with through work all the time is, in short, a male slut... he stands for everything shallow that humanity has ever recognised. He has been like this since I've known him. The kind of person that meets someone, talks himself into the fact he may be in love, then hurts them 3 weeks later.
Long story short.. hes been seeing this girl lately. It would appear that this girl is perfect in every way, the way he talks about her. I know its all bullshit, why do people forget when they have told you the same shit before about someone else?! Sooooo... all of a sudden.... he becomes vegetarian... much to my amusement.
but no... oh no... that isnt enough...
Because now he has just joined an AMATEUR DRAMATICS society!!! All to please this girl!!!!!
He is convinced its the real thing and that his life has totally changed!!!
Its probably funnier for me as I have known this guy 5 years and the wall of bullshit that he has convinced himself is the truth is astounding.
Now, the sad part.. their dream relationship may well be over, as soon as she gets the results back from the clap-clinic. My friend is the biggest practicer of unprotected sex that I have ever known. It took me 5 years of constant nagging and a personal scare before he got himself checked out. He was positive on 'a certain sexually transmitted ailment', nothing too serious, but bad all the same. It was treated. However, he has been having protected sex with her (another facade, i believe, to convey the image that suits him) and the one time last week when they didnt, she starts getting a burning, itching sensation 'downstairs' ... she is off to get checked out. If she comes up positive from a 'caring man who obviously practices safe sex' then she will begin to see through him. It could be the end..
I should speak more fondly of my friend, as he is a funny person and all round, a good friend. Its just his attitude to the fairer sex is absolutely deplorable. I have been telling him that something like this would happen... hate to say I told you so...
