Lawyers Suck!
Have you ever had a professor/teacher/instructor that went so far off subject that you feared the class would never get back on track? Well, in the case of our Adjunct Instructor/Lawyer he was never on the track! We spent 1 whole hour today (and I;m seriously not exagerating) talking about how important the words "and/or" are in the Penal Code! A whole Freakin' Hour! Stop reading if I've said this before:
The three most important subjects a police cadet needs to learn are (in my opinion) Penal Code, Code of Criminal Procedures and Traffic laws. These are the three areas that will get the most attention out in the field. So common knowledge/reason would make one think that the academy would have someone who was really good at teaching (seeing as these just so happen to also be the most boring subjects in the world). Nope...we're got Lawyer Boy! The man is from Louisiana originally, so he says things like "Bwah" (that's Louisianian for "boy" if you weren't sure)...What the FUCK!?!
One day he tells us "don't even bother trying to learn this on your own, because the book isn't a text book...it was written by legislators who get paid by the word, so it makes no sense to people like you." That's right, he said "people like you"
Then the next day, he says "I'm not here to spoon feed you people...Go home and learn it yourself!"
The man hasn't taught us ONE Fucking thing!
God Damnit!
I thought lawyers were hated because they are bloodsucking leaches on society....now I see they are simply in love with their own voices, and care NOTHING of anyone else.
Ok, now that the ranting and raving is done, I'll move on.
Centerpeices came in. Very cool...very cool indeed.
Mom is meeting with the photographer next week, and things are rolling!
The Dog is still pissing on the carpet (yesterday he took 2, yes 2 shits on the rug! yay! I'm so glad we didn't tell the apartment complex about him, and so don't have a security deposit! Now we'll get to pay for all the shit he's destroyed!).
Anyway, I'll stop now. I'm just going to put everyone in a bad mood if I continue with my negative energy. I'm really not in a bad mood, I'm just tired and pissed at the dick that heads up our cadet class.
