Hey! Havent updated this in a while, but yeah... Eveythings going really well here in Adelaide... Having heaps of fun! Had mum's 50th a few weeks back which was really fun, had all the mates there... lol sister got smashed as on vodka, but strangely enough managed to recover enough to put on a really good speech... Mine one went down really well too, got a few laughs, good fun... lol wore the full pimp getup for it aswell, which got a hell of a lot of looks, but heaps of complements, man I love that coat (posting photo.. actually not, I'll make it my user pic)... lol even brought out one of dad's old walking sticks which was fun....
Anway, this whole thing initially began as a post on the trav site, but it kinda grew, so decided to chuck in here aswell. The story begins when me n my housemates, Justin n Jerran (J&J) got invited my a mate from work Jase, and his vegetarian GF out to dinner. Anyway, turns out we actually were booked into to a hari christina resturuant, lol I didnt put two and two together when Jase said Hare's lol. But yeah actually turned out really nice.
Justin n Jerran (lol and me) were totally freaked out when we went in there n saw all the shoes left at the front door, then these people inside playing drums, and a dude with a stripe down his face... but i decided to suck it up, yes SUCK IT UP, and went inside to meet Jase n his gf, J&J however, were a bit freaked out, so they bailed n went n got some chinese lol...
Anyway, turns out it was really nice inside, and the food was really good too, all you can eat for $8, really hearty food. So we filled up heaps in there... Anyway, turns out Jase's gf wasnt a nut as I first thought, but actually really interesting... Ended up talking with her (lol and Jase when he could get a word in lol) for almost 6 hours straight, about pretty much everything, was really great. lol I'm totally in conversation withdrawrels (??) over here, so yeah when I get a chance to talk to someone who actually is interested in something other then J&J limited field of interest, I talk their ears off lol...
But yeah, really cool chick, totally commited to conservation and veganism which was really cool aswell, really changed the way I think about alot of things... Curiously enough, it's actually now get me thinking about going veg aswell... Well at least cutting down on the amount of meat I eat... Something different anyway, should be cool.
I sort of realised that yeah I donate bit of money each month to WSPA (World Society for the Protection of Animals) because I can't stand seeing animals abused when they can't defend themselves... but yet on the flipside, i was perfectly happy to go supporting the meat industry and the slaugher of animals, with so much wastage. So yeah, Adam's going psuedo-Veg! yay! lol J&J have not yet stopped the paying out... But yeah it was good last night for it to be 3-on-3 with Jase n his gf instead of the usual 2-on-1... Don't think I've ever talked with someone non-stop before for that long, was really good! Least I've got my hit now, lol should get me through till next time I'm home anyway.... Anyway, spleen vented... Might post this over to LJ aswell... lol least added a bit of character count for the site hehe. PcOwt ;)~DP8
