1. Who is your favorite character in DRRR!!?
My favorite character would definitely have to be Shizuo Heiwajima. I think he's adorable despite his anger issues, and have liked him since before I started watching the series (when I referred to him as bleach!Blonde Mikami xD). He's derpy, adorable, and under all the aggression and anger issues just a softy who needs a chance... And yeah, I can't help but find him amusing and just a joy to watch and stuff.
2. What is your major/what do you want to be your major?
Right now my major is slated to be English, with a Creative Writing emphasis and hopefully I will work towards a single subject in the area. My school has a very good program for what I want and it will allow me not only to hone my craft as a writer, but also allow me to teach high school which is my career goal at the moment ^^. I'm actually also going to be minoring in Biology so I can pursue another passion in life, and I may double minor with East Asia Studies. We'll have to see how my schedule goes and the like, but right now I'm just excited to be ahead in my major and getting to be open to the experience of college and really getting to learn what I choose and stuff.
3. Would you say you are more athletically-gifted, academically-gifted, or just an average student with some quirks and why?
Of the three I think I side more with academically-gifted. I was top of my class for elementary/middle school (went to the same school for nine years) and that was pretty much why those years sucked. >< I've built a reputation as being the 'smart kid' and I guess a lot of people have flocked to me for help because of it. And I am pretty good at school, and it doesn't come all that difficult to me. I can do pretty well with less effort than a lot of people (not that this is a good thing... I wish I had to struggle more, because it would make it easier to cope with classes I have to struggle in). I have Hermione-syndrome, in that my hand goes up faster than my brain processes sometimes... But I'm definitely not athletically gifted. I have to bust my ass off to look like I might possibly know what I'm doing. I get sports real well, but doing them and performing well is another story entirely. I'm much more of an academic.
4. Do you cosplay? If so, who are your favorite types of characters to cosplay. If not, are you interested in the hobby, or no?
Yes, I do cosplay but this year's probably my real official start to it >< And I guess I like playing characters that are more like me, which is what made going as Hibiya somewhat easy (I am a prude when it comes to physical affection/contact, and it was easier to get into his character than many others). I have had a great time cosplaying and I really hope to get more into it so I really know what kinds of characters are fun to go as. As I get more into it, I'll have to let you know. But I am definitely interested in the hobby, though this year was kind of trial by fire and I chose a way more difficult 'first cosplay' than I should have. Eh, I guess I'm just a little ambitious XD
5. What kind of music do you listen to?
Uhhh... I'm not quite sure how to answer this one. Because I honestly just listen to whatever appeals to me. I have such a mix on my iPod and my iTunes (since my taste has changed since I changed computers). I mean... in one sitting in the car you can go from Disney music (such as "A Whole New World") and immediately launch into "You're Gonna Go Far Kid" or "As I Watch the Sun Fuck the Ocean"... I also have a good deal of Rostropovich (a Mastercellist) and I like a lot of classical stuff now. I tend to like instrumental/movie soundtracks and stuff as well. My tastes are pretty open, but I'm generally not a big fan of rap >< Just doesn't appeal too much to me. So I'm pretty varied in my tastes, but overall I just like good music ^^
