Kindness of strangers!

I don't usually whinge about public transport in Melbourne, it's not the greatest but in the scheme of things (particularly in Australia) it does more than it's fair job.

I've hurt my ankle and therefore on crutches. I get on the train today, to get into the city and around 5 people offer me their seats - I declined most because they were aged pensioners, and they need it more than I.

I switch trains at Southern Cross to get onto the Werribee line, where i sit down, with my leg semi up as my ankle was hurting and wanted to eliviate some pressure... one of the pompous guards walks over and yells at me for having my leg up on the seat. Then accuses me for not having a ticket. After producing a ticket, he says "you're travelling on a concession" i was replied "look again buddy.. that's full fare". What a twat.

A few hours later, I get back on the Werribee line, again get off at Southern Cross to make my switch and some impatient commuter pushes me out of his way, so i land face first onto the concrete - thus causing extreme pain to my already sore ankle and causing a rather large bump on my forehead. What annoyed me the most was not one person standing on that platform even thought to help me up, just kept ignoring me.

Perhaps i'm just a "nice person" but if i see someone who's fallen or hurt themselves, i usually stop to ask if they need help.

I hope karma comes and bites you all on the ass!

The End.
