The language scene was actually something I added at the last minute, so I'm glad you liked it! I figured that these arrogant Britannians would never even consider that Suzaku thinks in a different language. I also had this visual in my head of Suzaku just sitting there, making the Britannians feel all superior, and then just lurching forward the second the settings switch, much to their shock.
I was worried that Suzaku's personality change was too abrupt, so it's reassuring that it makes sense. With Shinji, piloting was a constant burden, but one change I decided to make was that Suzaku honestly loves it.
I do a lot of random ambiguous flashbacks in italics. I really like how it gives a bit of backstory without smacking you in the face with it, so if I do continue be prepared for a lot of that.
It's funny that you think Lelouch is being sweet, because in all honestly Suzaku finds the familiarity kind of unnerving.
I would LOVE to do more of this. I just don't really have any ideas beyond this point, and the past has taught me that you can only write from the seat of your pants for so long. Maybe when the next Eva movie comes out, I'll get a bit of inspiration. One thing is certain, a continuation probably won't come any time soon.
