I know I should be working on Summer of Joy! I am, really. The document is up as I'm typing. I just have a very erratic working ethic. Plus this thing is long, so I do have legitimate reasons to be late.
Yesterday, a group of little girls came to my door and attempted to sell me a toothbrush for three dollars. When I told them I didn't really need it (using that cutesy, somewhat amused voice reserved for humoring little kids), one of the six year olds offered up her sister's bike for twenty dollars. The bike her sister was currently sitting on at the end of the driveway. I'm thinking she didn't know about this little deal. After I sent them away, a chorus of giggles could be heard through the door, as well as a little voice saying: "That was fun! Let's do another one!"
Am I to believe that a little kid's idea of entertainment is hawking her sister's bicycle door to door salesmen style? What happened to tag and hopskotch? Well, they were cute anyway.
On a side note, I just got some new woodless colored pencils. They're like regular pencils except they're all color and no wood. There's 24 in all, and it's truly ridiculous how happy they make me.
And just so everyone knows, XI is not dead. I will get back to it after the August Summer of Joy chapter is up. No matter how distracted I might get by pretty ideas and even prettier vampires. And if it isn't, blame
shirogiku. She enabled me.
