*New Journal!*
Well, I decided that I've been missing writing in an online journal, and since it's *SUMMER* and all, I decided to start a new one up! I'm quite excited, if you couldn't already tell... :-P
There has been sooooo much going on recently! Let me catch you up frooooooom about 2 weeks ago...or so...haha
So I took my finals, did the tech rehearsals for the big recital, and did my usual stress-out deal before and what-not...Then on the 19th and 20th, I had the recital and it went AWESOME!!!! Everyone did a great job and we had a blast! Onstage 2004 was definately the best recital yet, and everyone was saying how amazing it was....If you didn't go, that completely suckkkkks!!! You missed an awesome one....But if you're lucky you'll find a friend who dances @ Dance Designs and they can show you the DVD(< or tape...
That Monday I was SUPPOSE to go to school and take my last 2(and hardest) finals of the year....However, I didn't get home until 1:30 that morning after the recita/partying/etc., soooo that was a no on school...So, I spent the day studying...The entiiiiiire day(well, after waking up @ 12 in the afternoon...) and stressed-out the worst I've ever done...I went to bed quite freaked-out about my tests the next day...
BUT! I got through that day by telling myself "this is the last day of school!!!!!!!" soooo I made it through!!! And I got through my entire sophomore year...thank God! This year went by SOOOOOOOOOO incredibly fast though! I can't even believe that next year I'm gonna be a JUNIOR in high school! CARAZY!
And even though they were my hardest tests and I felt like I did completey awful on them while I was taking them, I wound up getting a B- on my History and a B on my French(insane, I know!)! Go me...haha pretty good for only studying for like 4 hours for history and like, 2 for French haha
So basically, ever since then I've been getting up realllly late, hanging out with Laura at the studio, beach, mall, etc., and going to 3D NATIONALS rehearsals! Yup, I love summer...8oD
It's completely insane that in 4 days(JULY 6TH) 3D flies to Las Vegas for Dance America nationals!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so friggin excited, I can't wait!!! We've been intensely rehearsing ever since after the recitals, and we're ready....We'll be kicking some MAJOR ass, I tell ya! :-)
So actually, on the 7th after I'm done competing, I have VIP rehearsals where we learn our cool dances for the faculty shows we perform in at every city! I can't wait!!! I've been chatting with 2 out of my 3 roommates and they're both awesome and so nice! I can't wait to meet them in person!! I'm so excited for VIP in general, I know I'm gonna have a blast, learn lots, make new friends, and have just an awesome experience...It's so excitign! I'll be gone for almost 3 weeks, coming back at the very end of July! Call/text my cell while I'm away! 292-6096!
I'm also wicked excited to see my friend Emilee from Indiana who I met last year before I competed for Dance America's Dancer of the Year in NYC....We've been great friends ever since! She's friggin hilarious and soo nice and I miss her lots! I'll get to see her in Vegas and Omaha since she's on the other VIP tour(which goes to Vegas, Minneapolis, Houston, Kansas City, and Omaha.......Mine goes to Vegas, Boston, NYC, Chicago, and Omaha!) I JUST CAN'T WAIT TO GO!
Last night all the 3D moms performed their version of "Time'(our large group lyrical that friggin rocks...) and OMG was it hilarious!!!!! Seriously, my face hurt from laughing so much! Wow, it was funny...They even did foutte turns!!! LMAO Not very pretty, but that's not the point...My mom and Sara's mom did the switch-leaps that we do in the dance...AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Oh man...
So that was a looong catch-up but it was neccesary so you know my state-of-mind! Haha
TODAY- I woke up @ 12(well, my mom woke me up..) I showered, got ready, and went to rehearsal from 2-4 for the small groups....Lots of fun and all...Then Laura took me, Jen and Kara to Linens n Things and we all got those nifty squishy foam pillows that they sell @ Brookstone's for $40, but we got them @ this place on sale for only $9.99!!!!!!! BARGAIN?!?!?! YES!!!!! Haha I got a bright pink one that I'm very excited to use on all the plane rides I'll be taking this summer! After that, we all went to Kara's humble abode...We had pizza(not Kara....the milk deal, remember?? haha) annnnd ate chips and salsa and watched Stuck On You....Wow, funny movie!! *The left coast!* LMAO girls, I was cracking up for like 15 minutes on that one! haha Then Laura had to go so she brought me home annnnnd I just realized she still hasn't brought back my dance bag that I forgot in her car...hmm...I should call her...haha annnd then me and my mom watched the movie "Honey" which was okay, but def. no Center Stage...That reminds me how much I absolutely HATED "The Company"!!!!!!!!! WOW! Suckiest movie ever made, I swear! Don't waste your time, even if you are a dancer...haha
ANYWAYS! Sorry for this extremely loooong entry, just had to catch-up! Right now my mom and I are going to drop off "Honey" at Blockbusters, then grabbing some real late-night ice cream! I'll update tomorrow! XOXO
