WTF LJ

WTF? I can't sign into LJ using Firefox. I have a couple of accounts and I can't log into any of them. It keeps coming up as the wrong password, even though the exact same thing in IE works fine.

I also find it stupid that only paid users can edit their comments nowLJ and facebook appear to be doing it. It is NOT my social-networking-site OTP. I ( Read more... )

Not cool. You would think that the functionality of editing would be best given to all users, not just those who pay.

The IE thing can be weird. I seem fine on Firefox at the moment. Do you have an older version? I think mine auto-updated about 5 days ago or so. That said there are a few sights out there that don't work well with one browser or another.

Also you can get this cool thing which lets you run IE through Firefox. I have not tried it yet, but I know people who have and they said it works well. As a matter of fact I may just install it now....

I'm running 2.0.0.8 (not the latest update). It was fine until yesterday.

I have 2.0.0.9 Seems weird that it would stop you. Can you still not get in with Firefox?

hmmm...
Tyr upgrading Firefox. also I have installed the IE patch I talked about above. You will see a little Firefox symbol in the bottom right corner of the window. You just need to left chick it to swap over to IE. this should at least let you use Firefox for everything, and just make some tabs IE (like LJ).

Yeah, I tried upgrading Firefox and it still didn't work. I even installed the latest Java update. :-/ Still not working.

I really don't like IE, so I think I'll wait to hear from Support about the issue before I resort to installing IE7 and then the Firefox patch.
