Who searches for knitting patterns for over an hour and then blogs about it? This girl.
Two summers ago now I bought a beautiful skein of yarn from a wool lady at the Madison Farmer's Marker, and while I've been knitting quite a bit lately, I've been waiting for the perfect pattern for this particular skein. Well, that's an overstatement -- I haven't knit since last winter (except for a weekend spurt in the summer... but it felt weird).
Last winter, I did start knitting this perfect yarn into a fail mitten pattern. Today I took the pleasure of unraveling a mitten and a half, and researching the perfect pattern. I think I found it, but, I don't have the appropriate needles. I want the needles now! But where do I find knitting supplies in this city? Once I scout out all the wonderful knitting oases, I move. Go figure.
So now I'm hungry and I want to knit. (The hungry part isn't really related, but I thought I should mention it anyway). *Sigh* I'll just have to be patient until I acquire the necessary needles. In the meantime I'll finish the plain orange scarf I started for last fall. Since it just so happens to be fall again, I should finish it soon. I'll get on that.
