As mentioned to people tonight at choir I haven't been visiting LJ for a long time as initially I was busy and didn't have the time to read everyone's posts and then, as the time drew on, I was overwhelmed with the thought of reading I would need to do to catch up on all the past news over the last two months! Uni wise: Worked on literature review and handed it in. Did a huge heap of lab work for my thesis and now have results and am in the process of writing up my thesis.
Fandom wise: Worked my way through Firefly, watched Serenity over the weekend, and I'm continuing my passion for Scifi/Fantasy getting my weekly fix of Battlestar Galactica and Doctor Who.
Choir: Satisfied my large choir fix by rehearsing for and performing in SUMS' most recent concert "Viennese Bibolets", and started singing in another University Choir (SU Madrigals) which I have been really enjoying for the hard slog of sightreading new pieces every week and singing with at the most 4 other Altos, as well as the different style of music/younger age demographic of the choir.
Social life wise: In between doing the lab work for my honours thesis, singing in two choirs (three if you include my church choir) and staying up to date with my fandoms I still managed to find time to stay social going to a Trivia night, all of SUMS camp where I gave more people an addiction to chocolate ripple cake (aka chocolate cake of doom!), publicity singing dressed up all gothic like complete with corset and then going to a house party where I stayed out until the early hours of the morning, PCP for the SUMS concert, going to pub after songbook rehearsals with SUMS people... a few other things involving lots of fun and little sleep... all in all a pretty decent social life considering how little spare time I have.
