[And with that he was out the door without so much as an explanation to his roommate or his guest, sword being the only thing he took with him this time. Sparring is an excellent way to get one's mind off of troubling matters.]
[As always, she's early to the "party". She's waiting for him in the dojo, taking care of one of the wooden dummies with a quick elbow strike as she waits for Helios.]
[It was a bit of a hike down there for Helios, but he arrived quickly enough, pausing because he suddenly realized that he'd never actually met Steel in person. At well, turned out she was easy enough to spot being the only person there.]
[What, is that a "ladies first" signal? She had never known he could be a gentleman.
Well, as much of a gentleman a person of his disposition can be.
She takes one step forward sword at the ready. Should she bait him, or not? There are plenty of possibilities, all of which could make or break this. Never mind this is a spar. To her this is a relatively bloodless battle.
Well, perhaps she should indeed try to bait him. She lunges forward again, raising her sword in a feint.]
[It was more a "I prefer to start on the defense to study your tactics", but sure ladies first works too.
Good, that mentality will make for a good match. Helios wasn't particularly well known for fair fighting anyway.
Helios hunched in on himself, making a smaller target before springing away from where she lunged, he could be rather lithe on his feet when he wanted to be, despite his size. Granted as it was a feint he may have gone the wrong direction.]
[Well, she had been ready for anything, even though he did not exactly according to plan.
It was fortunate that she had not put all power behind that, so she's able to break away from that movement and follow him quickly. She swinging her sword, and this time it's no feint.]
[This one looked more purposeful than the first, so Helios brought his blade up in a parry putting a fair amount of his weight behind it to knock her blade to the side.
[Consider her impressed that he didn't move out of the way but parried her blow. But, of course, it didn't stop there. She pulled her head back a little for momentum, and aimed for a headbutt almost immediately after that scene.]
[Helios had never been possessed of supernatural speed or strength, but he was a skilled swordsman, and he tried to remain in practice as often as he could. The headbutt came as a surprise, and cracked him rather nastily. He stumbled back several steps holding his head.]
Augh, Hyne... now I know why you go by Steel... fuck.
[Shaking himself out, and squinting past bright lights flaring in his eyes he tried to keep watch in case she was still advancing.]

Yo... you use a sword?
[Maybe he should have asked that earlier.]

I do.

Good.
[That would make it easier, he slid himself into a defensive position and motioned for her to start.]
