What is “Letters for Kim Jong Kook”?
“Letters for Kim Jong Kook” is a project to celebrate KJK’s birthday and the end of his military service.
We are creating a book (memory album) consisting of letters written in English and/or Korean to KJK by individual fans.
You may submit a short message, a detailed letter, personal artwork or poetry. The decision is entirely up to you. The main emphasis is on personalised letters, artwork and messages.
Each person will be allocated 2 pages within the album. You have one of two design options:
a) If you wish to decorate your own pages, we will send 2 album pages to you. These decorated pages are to be returned to us on completion by the submission deadline.
b) Alternatively, if you would like to have the decorating done on your behalf, just email or post your letters, photos or artwork to us.
Handwritten letters or messages are preferable. However, typed letters will also be accepted.
Please include a short biography describing a little of yourself, and how you came to know of KJK. This biography could include your name and things you would like to share with KJK. You reveal only what you are comfortable with. A personal photo would also be a nice touch but is not mandatory.
Document Size Guidelines
All material is to comply with US Letter size (216 X 279 mm) or (8.5 X 11 inches).
If you choose to work with A4 sizing, please allow for generous margins to allow for document cropping.
Unacceptable Material
Items which contain sexually explicit content or profanities, and/or inappropriate photos (nude, scantily clad, suggestive etc) will not be accepted.
The Project Team reserves the right not to include your submission in the book if it does not meet acceptable standards.
If your submission is considered as inappropriate for inclusion in the book, you will be notified by email.
Submission Deadline
All letters, artwork or messages are to be submitted no later than 31 January 2008.
Your Contact Details
Please provide your contact details (email address) with your letter. These details will only be used by the Project Team to contact you, if necessary.
We would like to create a map of where KJK fans are located. As such, please let us know the city and country where you live. If you do not wish to reveal this information, general country information will be sufficient.
