Last Tuesday (5/12): Dinner w/ Francis, his mom and brother, at P.F. Chang's. Had dandan noodles; good, but spicy. Got home fairly late; tried Pulling The Strings ENM on COR... of course, no drop yet again (0/4).
Wednesday (5/13): Did 1 Brigandish Blade, farmed 2 Diorites / fought 2 Ullikummi, fought 2 Byakko, fought 1 Suzaku. Got an Aquarian legs abjuration on free rot (lotted over Francis).
Thursday (5/14): Dynamis Windurst. No drops for me (I could only list 2. Dancer), but LS scored two 100-pieces, so gil split was 129k per person. :D Then did ENMs Sheep in Antlion's Clothing and Brothers w/ Francis, Dasani, and Pro, but no good drops on either.
Friday (5/15): DnD night.
Saturday (5/16): Saw Star Trek! :D Also had mediocre sushi at Hakubo in Kentlands, and then crepes after the movie at Crepes A Go-Go (very good). In game, XP'd a bit on COR and made decent progress through level 66.
Sunday (5/17): Solo'd DRG using FoV page 1 in Buburimu, ding'd levels 21 and 22. Then joined XP PT w/ Francis and some TP members, plus one obnoxious PLD. Ding'd COR 67.
Monday (5/18): Went w/ parents to church LGBT group meeting, but was very sleepy. Did ENM Pulling The Strings on COR again. Wasted over 60k gil for entry... the damn moblin kept beating me on rolls! And after all that, no drop again (0/5).
Tuesday (5/19): Keane concert w/ Dasani! There were two opening bands. (1) A small indie duo named Helio Sequence: They were pretty good, interesting sound, and gave an entertaining performance. (2) Matt Kearney, who has had several songs featured on TV. He was okay, but we were unimpressed, and he tried to be cool when talking about his new album released that same day, but... it didn't really work, and he didn't even tell the audience his name until the very end. I think it wasn't until the last song he played, "Nothing Left To Lose", that most of the audience recognized him (I've heard in on TV somewhere). Finally after that, Keane came on, and they were fantastic. The lead singer comes across as such a soft, gentle person and was smiling the entire time; he also has a fantastic voice. I think they played all or most of my favorite songs by them. Particularly memorable were "Bend and Break", "Bedshaped", "Leaving So Soon", and "You Don't See Me", which the lead singer said he considered to be one of their most beautiful songs. At one point he remarked about DC being a political town, and that while he "doesn't want to take sides", he "congratulated us on our good choice". :3
Wednesday (5/20): Did T3 ZNM, Gotoh Zha the Redolent, with TP.
Thursday (5/21): Dynamis San d'Oria w/ TP. Surprisingly, it went terribly. Our worst run yet, by far. I died 6 times, and I think Francis died about 10. I have no idea what went wrong... all I know is weakened people were getting killed over and over again (especially the BLM party, it seemed) and things... just... went wrong. Ugh.
